Paid in the open

Everyone in this trade gets paid. We publish ours.

A broker takes 8 to 15 points out of the same deal, buried in your rate, where you will never read it. We are a paid intermediary too. What is different is that our number is written down before you apply, offers are ranked by what the money actually costs you, and your file is never resold.

Where this came from

I worked at those offices

For years I sat in MCA brokerage offices watching reps sell merchants advances they couldn't afford. The pitch never changed: “We work with all the lenders.”

It wasn't true. They worked whichever lender paid the most that month, then sold your number to a dozen shops. That is why the calls never stopped. This platform is the opposite of those rooms: private, and honest about the real cost.

“The merchants I watched get stacked weren't unsophisticated. They were under-informed. Information asymmetry is the entire business model of the broker industry. We're trying to close that gap.”
Noah Haim, Founder
Stack analysis on a merchant file: a recurring-debit review, a named position at its daily debit, the matching debits found behind it, and a pattern confidence

The stack, read out of the debits and shown to the merchant. A broker sells into this. The product flags it.

The record

A promise you can check, not one you have to take

A broker's version of this is a sentence in a footer. Ours is three screens you can open in your own account.

Who holds it

Every funder your file was routed to, listed by name with the date it went out. Nothing is shared with a desk that is not on that list.

What they can see

A funder gets what the deal needs and nothing else. The field-by-field split is published, not described in general terms.

What we share, field by field

What it costs you

Offers rank on modeled APR, fees and total payback, with the assumptions labeled, so the cheapest deal wins rather than the one that pays us most.

How we are paid
The plain disclosure

How we are paid, in the words a contract would use

Here is the part most broker pages leave out. New Matrix Capital is paid by financing partners on funded referred deals and may be paid by card programs on approved referred accounts. Nothing is owed before funding, but do not read that as us working for nothing: our compensation is part of the deal’s economics, which is exactly why we put total payback in front of you instead of a rate.

The merchant side first, because it is the one that comes out of your account. On funded money there is a platform success fee, never on SBA loans or business credit cards. It cannot be charged before the money is in your account - the deal’s funded status is the gate in the code, so no path reaches a charge on a deal that has not funded - and once it has, it is billed to the payment method on file, or invoiced if there is none. The rate itself, by product, is published on how we make money and set out in full in the Terms of Service. Optional software subscriptions are separate.

Then the partner side. On the MCA family, term loans and lines included, we earn a placement spread inside the presented rate: 3% standard on MCA paper, running 1% to 5% with the terms of the deal, and 1.5% standard on term loans and lines. SBA is a lender-paid referral fee, regulated, standard 1%. Business card issuers pay a flat bounty per approved account, typically $50 to $200, not a percentage. Whatever applies to a specific deal is shown to you in chat before you ever submit an application.

Introducing a business owner to a lender or issuer for compensation can meet the legal definition of commercial-finance or loan brokering in some states, and can trigger a licensing, registration, or disclosure requirement. We do not use a label to avoid those obligations. We follow applicable requirements and may limit a product or partnership while a jurisdictional review is pending. New Matrix Capital is not a lender and does not issue credit, and we do not provide legal, tax, or investment advice. For the full policy, see the Terms of Service and the state-law notes at the bottom of our legal pages.

A submitted application on the deal record: product and amount requested, the funder it was routed to, an approved verdict, and the verified EIN and legal name with the ownership evidence attached

The deal record every one of those sentences is about: the funder the file went to, and the verdict that came back. A commission exists only where this ends in funded money.
